Mission
Texas Teachers will provide a streamlined, low-cost and exemplary process to help individuals enter the teaching profession and be successful during their Internship year.
The Texas Teachers Alternative Certification Program
Texas Teachers is a private program that strives for innovation and effectiveness. We remove unnecessary obstacles and raise the
quality of the training and mentoring. That's how Texas Teachers is able to offer an accessible route that delivers results.
Texas Teachers backs up its commitment by voluntarily making 90% of its fees contingent upon the new teacher's success.
Texas Teachers developed its training and support elements with tremendous input from school districts. By working with
districts and meeting their expectations, Texas Teachers can therefore help to increase the potential for employment and success
of its interns.
In addition, Texas Teachers offers a strong support plan during the first year of teaching. Districts like to see this commitment to the intern's success.

Accredited Teaching Program
Texas Teachers is fully accredited and licensed by its regulating state agency and authorized to certify in all certification areas.
Memberships and Best Practices
Texas Teachers continually updates its program to include the latest innovations and teaching strategies. By routinely collaborating with numerous education groups, Texas Teachers stays abreast of best practices and research-based approaches to student learning.

in education was sparked while working in Austin on public policy issues regarding
teacher retention and student achievement. In this arena, Vernon met Kathy Schreiber
